“I love the culture of Mary Kay Ash, her priorities and how we can touch the lives of so many women and their families. I will carry on the legacy she began!”
Live life “all out.” The former “Miss Fayetteville,” Independent National Sales Director Donna Meixsell, learned the value of a strong work ethic early in life. While in college, she juggled several part-time jobs and her classes. Donna shares, “Though my parents passed away while I was of college age, they left me a wonderful legacy – work is a good thing; take pride in it.”
Working part-time, even while teaching, Donna was on her break at a department store when Independent Executive National Sales Director Emeritus Pat Fortenberry shared the marketing plan. “There was a void that needed to be filled. I was ready; I knew there had to be more in life!” Pat was a mentor and more to Donna. “Pat and her husband, Charles, are like parents to me. Our youngest daughter, Madison, is treated like their grandchild. And, Independent Senior National Sales Director Pamela Fortenberry-Slate is like a sister to me. Our families have become close, and we often spend some of our holidays together.”
Donna’s husband, Berrae, a retired Air Force Colonel, is very supportive. “Though he travels extensively, my business keeps me busy and independent.” When Berrae is home, he and Donna, Madison, Berrae, III, and Amanda, like to watch movies and hang out by the pool. “They all grew up with the Mary Kay opportunity as part of their lives – providing them choices and financial freedoms,” Donna notes.
Donna leads a National area that enjoys working their Mary Kay business and also enjoys living life to the fullest. She intends to pass on Mary Kay’s vision. “I love the culture of Mary Kay Ash, her priorities and how we can touch the lives of so many women and their families. I will carry on the legacy she began!”
